About the Author
Sister Marlyn Evangelina Monge has been a Daughter of Saint Paul since 2005 and currently serves as an editor for books for children and teens at Pauline Books and Media. She has a master's degree in education and is pursuing a master's degree in Hispanic pastoral ministry. Before entering the convent she taught bilingual kindergarten for six years, taught in her parish's religious education program, and volunteered with the youth ministry program. She is the author of Jorge from Argentina (available in both English and Spanish), Growing in Love, and co-author of Las Posadas (all with Pauline Books and Media). Sister Marlyn is a proud tÃa to her six nieces and nephews.

Excellant retelling of the Fatima story. I read it to my 2nd grade class and they really loved the story and illustrations.The author makes it easy for children to understand the message of Fatima without making it too simple and syrupy.The Fatima prayers are on the back pages.
My children and I love this cute little book. It takes a great and complicated event and makes it to where children can understand while enjoying the beautiful illustrations. I love that it teaches children how to pray the rosary at the end and provides the mysteries for every day of the week.
It was the perfect book for 5 to 7 years to read

Mary and the Little Shepherds of Fatima is a hardcover children's book from Pauline Books and Media. The book tells the story of the three shepherd children Francisco, Jacinta, and Lucia. Every day, they went out to tend the sheep and while they were doing so, they always prayed the Rosary. One day an angel appeared to them and encouraged the children to pray often, because Jesus and Mary are listening. Later, the angel returned to them and encouraged them to make sacrifices. Then, Our Lady appeared to them. She tried to encourage them not to tell anyone, but of course word got out. Each time they went to see Mary more people joined them, but could not see who and what the children saw. The corrupt mayor of their town tried to put them in jail to quiet them down and scare them but eventually released them. Then, one day when the children went to see Mary and more people joined them there was finally a physical sign for all the people. The sun danced that day, and everyone present witnessed the miracle.This book does a wonderful job of introducing your children to Our Lady of Fatima and her story. At the end of the book, there is a section on how to pray the Rosary, different prayers of Fatima, and section for adults, which provides more of the context and history of this apparition. The artwork is also very warm and vibrant and will keep your children engaged the whole time they are reading the book or having it read to them. Highly recommended.This book was provided to me for free by Pauline Books and Media in exchange for an honest review.
