My wife is studying for the GRE very diligently; she has the Kaplan course and certain areas of math were bugging her. This series breaks these areas down very nicely so the student can focus on the area which needs the most attention. My wife says that she is actually more proficient at the problems due to the break down of the problem types, instead of having one jumbo book of tests (she has a few of these too). From what I am reading, the newer versions do not differ significantly from the very last version, so it makes sense to shop around for the very last versions to save some $$.

This book is full of questions that will help you familiarize yourself with the GRE or even the GMAT. With so many questions, this book will build your confidence on various parts of the GRE. I have notice improvements in my understanding and recognition of certain types of questions and have immediately sped up my ability to answer questions correctly. I believe this book will help me attack the GRE! I would recommend it.

It is a very helpful textbook to understand how problems are solved in GRE. For me, all the Manhattan Prep books for GRE became my bible. There are a lot of exercises for you to do and a very detailed explanation for each of them.

This company is amazing. Honestly dont waste your money with any other book. Best value for your buck. I purchased all the books and I saw a huge difference in my score and confidence.

Bought this for young nephews. Read it first though. Fun and informative.

I bought this book for my grandson when he was four (he's now nine) and he just called to tell me that it is his "all time favourite book". He has just become a Cub Scout and was asked to bring his favourite book to the next meeting and this is the one he chose. His father loves fishing, camping, boating and working outdoors whenever he gets a chance. My grandson seems to be following in his footsteps and the Buck Wilder books are perfect for him. The pages contain a myriad of pictures and information, well drawn and thought out so that there is something of interest and new to be discovered from the age of four to whenever?? I (and my grandson) highly recommend this book and the others in the series for your boys and I'm sure that girls would like them too if they love nature and the outdoors.

I bought this for my son for his birthday. He is obsessed with fishing and LOVES this book. The pages are so colorful and there are all kinds of neat hidden little words all over the drawings. He is six years old and it is one of the few books he will actually sit down with on his own!

This is a kids book with great pictures and a couple of short paragraphs on each page. Very easy to read but each of those paragraphs is full of good information. They describe the fish to you, tell you where it likes to hand out in the water, what kind of bait to use and if it hangs out in schools. What more does a person need to fish? It also has a page that shows you how to bait your hook. It is a good kids book but as a novice fisher person I found it very interesting. Great book.

I bought this for my seven year old grandson for his birthday. It is just as advertised. I am sure by spring, he will know what fish he wants to try to catch, what lures and bait is needed, and where to go to find the fish he will be seeking. It is written so both his parents and himself can read and understand what they need to know about fishing. It is the next best thing to being able to take him out fishing myself, which is not possible for me. Thanks Tom Evans

The book is entertaining, This is not the best book for real information.It has just enough info to get a line in the water.The graphics are cartoony to the point the fish pictures are not accurate.It's OK for a first fishing book for a child

This is another in the Buck Wilder series that entertains young readers. Our reader is 6 and absolutly loves these books! They never tire of finding new items on the pages of these books and return to them often.

My son loves to fish, but he never got into these books. They are cute and silly with a handful of facts. Just not something that needs to be re-read.

For the most part, I have not been a big fan of Barron's . I've used them in the past for mathematics, chem, and SAT study, and it was no good for anything, so i ended up tossing them in the trash and going with better books.For some reason, these guys got the PTCE (PTCB) test down pat. not sure what they did differently, except they seem to be more thorough and careful about what is needed, and what is not needed for the pharmacy tech.

I credit this book as being the single best thing I did in preparation for the PTCB! If you study this book and know it ...... and familiarize yourself with a few areas NOT in this book, those being the Clark Rule, Young's Rule, and Flow Rate math (as in an IV - for example, how many drops per minute in a given amount of time)...... you will be VERY prepared for the PTCB! I passed the PTCB on the first try! Good luck!! :)

Helped me pass my exam! I am very happy that I ordered this book to help me study, it is the only one I bought and it was worth it. It includes a pretest and two in-book practice tests to help you gauge where you're at and what you need to work on, along with an online practice test and little quizzes at the end of each chapter to make sure you learned the important things. This was well worth the money!

I would definitely recommend this book along with the PTCB pocket prep app. This book has all the needed information minus a few things without excess information. I studied this book for 3 weeks, took notes and highlighted. I passed my test on 5/25/2018.

I am a retired Pharmacist and have decided to go back to work after 4 years away from Pharmacy. I am in a different state and decided it was easier to become a pharmacy technician. This book was all I needed to review for and pass the PTCE! Very comprehensive and well organized with good sample tests including one online. I highly recommend this guide.

Didn't have any pharmacy background, so I originally thought to study for the PTCE exam over the summer, but stupidly procrastinated till the day before my exam. I crammed for 7 hours using only this book, and managed to pass the exam with a 1457. The practice exams in this book are exactly on point. Excellent coverage of all the domains. This book was clearly written by someone who knows exactly what they're doing. I wholeheartedly endorse this book.Just some advice for anyone studying - don't worry so much about memorizing all the top 200 drugs. I can't disclose any information about the test, but my recommendation is to learn the other clerical and safety information down to the tee. That helped me pass way more than spending my time memorizing the drugs, probably by a ratio of 15:1.I've used Barron's before for AP exam stuff, but this book definitely takes the cake for being concise, yet incredibly thorough. It's a must buy for any autodidacts out there.

Not as indepth as the PTCE is. Actual text books would work better unless you are a seasoned technician brushing up for the exam.

This is an excellent study guide for the PTCE!! Especially when reviewing for Pharmacology and Pharmacy Law. I highly recommend making flashcards when reading through this book. The practice exams are extremely helpful as well. This book helped me pass the exam on my first try!! 🤗

The book was organized well and well written. I passed the PTCB with a 1528 but I don’t credit this book. The practice tests in this book are nothing like the exam and most of the questions on the exam I did not see the corresponding material in this book. I would suggest buying the $29 PTCB official practice test and studying the material asked in the test. The questions and concepts were similar to the practice exam and reworded on the actual exam. I also recommend PTCB Pocket Prep for a math review but the questions in pocket prep are a lot more difficult than what is on the actual exam. I wouldn’t recommend this book for the PTCB.

great book, great series. Get these books (any of them) when you need to buy for a child and you have NO idea what to get them. Our kids are 11, 10, 6 and 4 and they are ALL fascinated by the tiny notes, letters and other secret and wonderful surprises tucked into these books. They are the kind of thing kids pour over again and again. Our kids now want every single book in this series...cannot recommend them highly enough, and I am a book snob who is very picky about what our kids read.

Purchased this Ology book for our 6 year old grandson and he loves it! We also have Pirateology and Monsterology and he likes them as well.These books are very interactive and encourage creative thinking and imagination. The price is a bit steep but it is a book a child can use for many years to learn and explore.

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!!On some levels, this series was very well written and very touching. There were moments when I got very choked up and moments when I could really relate to the characters, their experiences, and what they were going through emotionally.Belly, (the main character) is in love with two brothers (Conrad and Jeremiah) who she grows up vacationing with every summer as a kid. Belly’s character is so beyond annoying in so many ways, you just want to scream. She spends 3 books going back and forth between the two brothers which, by the way, seemed really unhealthy and super dysfunctional to me! The brothers also stomp on her heart so many times it’s excruciating to read and pretty unbelievable that they would do that to a girl so close to them and who they say is almost like a “sister” to them.There’s way too much to explain here, but basically, Belly spends her life pining away for Conrad who is pretty much a remote, closed off jerk to her throughout the entire series but is supposedly “in love with her.” You never really get any of those delicious private moments between the two of them to really illustrate that he’s so irrevocably in love with her, or any of those “tingly” moments that make all of the angst worth it. It’s all of the angsty build up, and in my opinion, none of the juicy reward. Everything is described after the fact in flashbacks described by the characters, and not always described well! Even at the end of the series, when she finally ends up with him, after 3 entire books of reading and waiting and playing the will they or won’t they game, you never get a big moment. They get together through a series of letters at the end (3 lousy letters I think it was!!!) and then you read about them running away from their wedding to jump in the pool at the summer house the grew up going to.This series is so unfulfilling and unsatisfying as a reader, it’s actually maddening!! I feel like I’ve been duped! I hate when I can tell that the author just had no idea how to wrap things up and just abruptly ends a three book series like this! You don’t ever get to see the main characters finally professing their love or come together after page after page of anguish. It’s like a slap in the face!I’m trying to save you a lot of frustration with this review, I wish I had saved my time and money!!

*Review posted on Mundie Moms on 8/18/2016*This is the third book in the Summer I Turned Pretty series, and it finds Belly aging two years to the summer after her freshman year in college. While I spent the first book wondering if Belly would end up with either Jeremiah or Conrad, and book two wondering if Conrad could be a bigger butthead, this book left me wondering if either Fisher boy was right for Belly.Right away you get the idea that lighthearted, happy-go-lucky Jeremiah may not be the ideal match for our yes, still very, very, very naive (to the nth power) Belly. There are obvious hints that he's a party boy, maybe too involved in his frat and not so involved in his academic pursuits. But, Belly brushes all that off until THE ONE THING THAT HAPPENS (I know I promised I was going to try to keep it as spoiler free as possible, but it's so hard because this is the third book in the series). While, Belly tried to reconcile this ONE THING, her best friend, Taylor (yes, the very one who was on the outs in the previous book) became her voice of reason and best supporter. I grew to adore Taylor's dedication to party planning, friendship and choosing all the right accessories. It almost made me forget that ONE THING.But sadly, the ONE THING led Belly and Jeremiah down a plot that left me, frankly, eye-rolly. It became a very predictable and plodding cliche. I found myself desperate for the slightest mention of Conrad, who appeared at moments when I thought I may just give up on this series. But, I plowed on, and I'm glad I did. In this last installment, it is very obvious that Conrad matured the most out of all the characters. He finally seemed to have direction, and the angst (understandable with the way his father treated his mother, their inevitable divorce and the return of her cancer) he felt in books one and two had dissipated. What was left was a guy who cared for his brother, and even above that, he cared for Belly. He reminded me of my very favorite, literary hero -- Mr. Darcy. He was proud, stubborn, but in the end, he acquiesced and did the right thing. His character arc bumped the book from 2.5-3 stars back up to a solid 4.How was the ending? It was logical and everything that I wanted it to be, at least in that moment. Belly is still far too innocent to be entirely believable. Conrad is very heroic. Jeremiah is flawed, but a goofball. Long term, would either relationship work out for Belly? I'm in the camp that it wouldn't because eventually, Belly would come to a firm understanding of who she is, and that would change the dynamic between her and either boy. Jenny Han does pick a side, and like I mentioned above, it was a good, logical, horribly romantic pick.Summer is still in full swing according to the temps in my neck of the woods. So, a story about a girl and two boys she sees only over summers accompanies this August heatwave nicely. Pick up the series and come back here to let me know your thoughts.

About the Author

Raised in Fairbanks, Alaska, Bryan Bailey grew to appreciate the wildness of the land and its abundant wildlife. In particular, he developed a fondness for the gray wolves that roamed the vast mountain ranges and forests near his home. Under the guidance of a Special Forces Survival Instructor, he spent years studying the social interactions of wolves in their packs and discovered that, beyond obvious physical similarities, there were also behavioral similarities between the wolves and the sled dogs that were his family's pets. The information is presented in a clear and organized manner. Anyone can easily grasp the core message. The author takes a somewhat lyrical tone in some passages which adds an interesting twist to what could have been a dry informational book. Not so sure I like the way the recreation scenes of the attacks were written but they definitely make the intended point. I would recommend anyone with a dog read this . Whether you have a teacup yorkie or a large rottweiller, it will definitely help you understand the nature of your dog and if you use the information as intended will help you protect your family, finances, and your dog. Highly recommend for all dog owners, shelter workers or anyone who has a canine in their life. I do disagree with the author regarding his breed specific statements. It's true a large powerful dog can be more dangerous than a small dog for obvious reasons but all of my big dogs were good natured and happy go lucky. It's the responsibility of the owner to know the dog, be aware of their instinctive behaviors and to make certain they are raised and handled responsibly. I have raised and rescued Rottweilers for years and they were all well trained, very sweet and greatly loved members of the family. That being said there is a responsibility that comes with having any dog, especially a large powerful breed and the information in this book should be required reading for ALL dog owners.

My husband and I are going through hell with an aggressive rescue dog. This book has given us an understanding of what is going on and the knowledge to hopefully keep us safe while we.try to train. Everyone with a dog needs to read this book!

Especially heed when it's an unknown dog or dogs.Interesting information regarding reactions to look out for.Some very compelling, sad examples of what happens when take a domesticated dog for granted.Having had dogs in my family my entire life, there was only one who was a classic case of having a "hammer" issue.

Unfortunately this includes biting.SPOILER ALERT!!! There is more than one instinctive impulse your dog uses before swinging the proverbial “hammer”and your dogs loyalty to you didn’t make the list!!!After reading you will (1) know how to better prevent from becoming the victim of an attack, and (2) learn how to prevent your own beloved dog from being the attacker in a constructive manner/approach that was born from the reality of our dogs shared heritage with the wolf.Along the way you will read tragic stories... Most, or all of these stories could have had different outcomes if only a respectful consideration of how our behavior is perceived by dogs was part of the human process during these interactions. This book, in very clear terms, explains these considerations and how important they are.I hope you enjoy the book as I did.I have read other publications from the author and strongly recommend them as well. Excellent, insightful information about dogs' inherent nature and how humans pay the price for not recognizing what dogs are communicating. We make the mistake of overly humanizing dogs and ignoring their natural instinct for self-defense or territory defense. Tragedy ensues when we don't pay attention to dogs' behavior and sadly, people are hurt & killed by their own dogs every year. I learned so much from this book!

This book is the most insightful, riveting, organized, researched, spellbinding, honest, frightening, and important book on what we ALL need to know about dogs. Statistics concerning dog bites to human beings, vicious attacks by dogs, and deaths are increasing, yearly. We must recognize that we do not know what we thought we knew about the mind of man’s best friend, because he is capable of taking life and limb from us. This is a MUST read for every person who loves a dog, every parent who loves a child, every human being who is tempted to run up to the dog in Lowe’s and pet it.

The writer is incredibly condescending. At one point he makes his position clear when he describes a human as "dumber than normal." You will find that he believes people to be pretty stupid very quickly. The tedious examples of bites he writes are long, drawn out, melodramatic, and overwrought. In one he describes a man's love of his Christmas decorations for literally pages. When he describes his own encounter with a dog attack, he seems to have been having a dumber than normal moment in time. He finds what he describes as a 'trail' he can't resist while out for a run in an unfamiliar place. He follows the trail, which turns out to be a private drive onto someone's private property. He is running, and sees four dogs. He describes with disgust that a woman holding a baby and an elderly man fail to come to his rescue. So he is a stranger, trespassing on their private property, and he expects a woman with a baby to come and confront him, or an elderly man to come and see who he is and what he wants? I grant him that there should have been signs about 'private property,' but in the end it is the responsibility of the runner, the walker, the hiker, the biker to know where they are. People out recreating are not entitled to explore every 'trail' or private drive. And that critique is far less long than the overwrought description of the encounter. He gets a star for some good information. But in all truth, the useful information could have been contained in a pamphlet without all of the drama and patronizing sermonizing on his belief that people get bit by dogs because they are too stupid to understand the animals.

CBT Worksheets begins with a discussion of the importance of diary keeping by clients. While acknowledging that many clients are not particularly enthusiastic about diary keeping, the different types of diary forms illustrate that diaries can extend beyond the traditional concept of diary into cataloging thoughts, feelings, physiological responses, and behavior. Detailed problem lists are shown to have use in helping clients realize and chart the progress they are making as they continue with their therapy. Writing fosters a sense of detachment from one's feelings, the authors argue, which makes it possible for them to view things more dispassionately and gain a sense of self-reflection. I've done some CBT work in the past, but this book really makes sense to me. I bought it, not my therapist, though he likes it too. One of the best pages I've done so far is tracking how I feel compared with how much I believe I accomplished. Since data is entered in every hour, after a week, I able to see my ups and downs in both feelings and accomplishments. The only place where both traits were high was when I went to a therapy pool. Guess I'll be doing more therapy work than before. I will do a page (I do copy them so my original book is still "like new") and then I take it to my therapist and it gives us a good topic to discuss.

It's OK. Used a few items in this for my clients. Better off with workbook from Aaron Beck, MD.

I was expecting better worksheets. Most of these are repetitive.

This is going to be excellent in my counseling work. I look forward to working with as much of these as possible!

I’m an LCSW working in both case management and therapy. This book is easy to copy pages and use in therapy with clients. I incorporate it with my behavior activation techniques.

Some handy techniques, but there are a lot of spelling and grammatical errors which take away from it's credibility.
